Vector Malaysia Launches ‘Matcha Eight’, A New Brand Serving Japanese Tea Ice Cream
Kuala Lumpur, 7th April 2021 – Vector Marketing PR Malaysia Sdn Bhd (Vector Malaysia) will be venturing into the food and beverages industry through the establishment of Matcha Eight, as part of the company’s business expansion plan.
Matcha Eight serves artisanal, premium, 100% natural Kyoto tea ice cream made of the finest single-origin tea imported from Wazuka, a town nestled in Kyoto Prefecture. The Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) business will kick-off with the launch of an E-commerce site at the end of March 2021, catered to Klang Valley residents.
As the first in Malaysia to spearhead this exquisite Japanese cultural dessert experience, Matcha Eight’s artful creation offers sencha, matcha and hojicha ice cream of eight levels of tea richness, forming a delightful gradation of colour, while building a balanced profoundness in creaminess and texture, for all Matcha lovers!
Matcha Eight aims to promote a rewarding experience of refined desserts carefully crafted following Japanese perfectionism. Free from additives, preservatives, and colouring, these ice cream formulations are hand-churned recipes by Michelinstarred Master Chef Takuji Takahashi.
“We realised that in Malaysia, the availability of authentic Japanese tea ice cream is very scarce. We see a great potential to introduce this unique ice cream concept to the Malaysian market, allowing Malaysians to find their choice of tea richness, all in one place,” says Miho Kaneko, Managing Director of Matcha Eight.
Foreseeing the company’s plans for the future, Kaneko states that, “vector Malaysia intends to make Matcha Eight an eco-friendly brand in the market by working towards building green initiatives, as well as possibly collaborating with various non-profit

Moving forward, Matcha Eight plans to further expand its availability outside of the Klang Valley, making it readily available across the state.
